Choosing Orders at McDonald’s
In many diet tips one of them is often or always – No Fastfoods. But we cannot help it. McDonald’s is one of the alluring place to eat. But it’s true. If you’re trying to be healthy, McDonald’s is not a place to eat. But if you must eat there, at least there are better choices on the menu than others. Isn’t that good news?
There’s a great guide that Lifehacker had put together to show us what foods are not so bad and what are those that should be avoided no matter what. Let’s start with the good news.
Chicken Mcnuggets provides 280 calories in a 6 piece box. Not so bad right? We can just walk home after eating to burn those unwanted calories. Next to check is the hamburger. If you can stand eating it without the cheese, it will only give you 250 calories. You can also burn that while walking the dog for an hour maybe.
Now brace yourself, here’s the bad news. A large Triple Thick Chocolate Shake has 1160Â calories, 27 grams of fat, 168 grams of sugar and 510mg of sodium, which is insane and will take me days to burn these. That is if I put enough effort. And here’s a really serious thing to consider. Drinking one of these everyday will cut a decade or two off your life. And if you want to cut more years off your life, add a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese in your diet.
Just google Lifehacker for the full list and all the details. But if you want to live healthy and eat healthy, I guess you just have to trust the diet tips spreading around- No Fastfoods.
