It’s confirmed. The Commisioner of NFL, Roger Goodell, announced last thursday, that Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is now qualified to return for week 3 of the 2009 season.

Michael Vick was known for frequently running the ball and ranks the third among quarterbacks. He was enlisted first overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2001 NFL Draft. In his six seasons with the team, he gained popularity doing a great job in the field as he led the Falcons to the playoffs twice. Vick has not played since 2006.

On July 27, 2009, Goodell conditionally reinstated Vick. Goodell then met with Vick, Eagle’s coach Andy Reid and Vick’s advisor Tony Dungy, and announced on September 3 that Vick is fully reinstated. Vick shouldn’t be drafted in most leagues. For now, he will likely be the no.3 quarterback and will appear in the game for some wildcat formations.

To get his worth back, Vick will have to wait for an injury to no.1 and no.2. As for the Eagles, looks like this team has an interesting quarterback line-up for this season.

Social Networking sites have been popular nowadays. And through this, people can do whatever they want to do. Like promoting sites, videos or sharing any sorts of stuff that they want. Twitter is one of the sites which allows people to share their thoughts, or points of view of whatever. And Because of that the National Football League, which is one of the powerful sports league thinks that all the silly tweeting could seriously damage its business.

Since NFL is preparing for its upcoming season they instituted some set of guidelines or some sort of rules to restrict fans in using some social media applications like Facebook and Twitter. Under the guideliness, NFL encouraged fans to post messages about teams and player but cannot post play by play accounts of the actual games.

NFL admitted that their aim to those fans who will be attending games in person from posting games videos onto sites which is capable of hosting videos such as Youtube, Facebook or MySpace. And If fans will be posting large quatities of videos onto those sites It will surely affect their business since NFL is selling exclusive rights to television networks and radio stations to broadcast the games.
It has been said that If NFL found out or identifies fans that will violate the said rules, league officials will contact them and tell them to stop posting text or video and If they refuse to do so, the league will consider filing a lawsuit.
They will be doing such action since this cause much worries on their business for the fact that those social sites gives a huge impact on their business because people are free to post whatever they wanted to share.
But one thing’s for sure, NFL should be also aware that they got no property right over fans ‘tweets’ . Fans have the same right guaranteed by the First Amendment that they are allowed to publish accounts of football games even in play by play form.
