However, there are ways so that it will be easier for you to break the news to the person you once love. Here are the steps that you should take:

1. Don’t do it slowly because it will just hurt longer.

The more that you will keep it to yourself that you are not inlove with the person, it will hurt the more. It will be more painful for the other party if you will take it slow.

2. Have a personal private talk

Don’t breakup with the person over email, over the phone or whatever gadget you’ll be using. It is best to do it personally. Have a private talk and be decent enough to face her.

3. Express that you still care.
The romantic relationship will end but assure the person that you still care. But don’t make the other person expect too much. Don’t continue to hook up with the person always. And if you don’t feel like being friends with her, then don’t give assurance of keeping the friendship. It is more painful if you will eventually avoid him/her.

4. Don’t point finger to anyone.
Be sure that once you decided to end the relationship, you have already reflected the right reasons. Don’t blame anyone for the breakup. Don’t even say the old line “It’s not you, it’s me”, because it has been used a thousand times! It’s not an effective line.
